Known Success ("we," "us," or "our") operates knownsuccess.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We take your privacy seriously and keep data collection to the minimum necessary to run this platform.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Contact form: Name, email address, and message when you use our contact form.
  • Coach applications: Name, email, and professional information if you apply to join as a coach.
  • Mirror Map: Skill names you define and ratings you enter are stored temporarily to enable the sharing feature.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, and general interaction patterns (via Vercel analytics, if enabled).
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and general location (country/region) from your IP address.
  • Cookies: We use minimal session cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to messages sent through our contact form.
  • To operate the Mirror Map sharing feature.
  • To process coach applications and communicate with prospective coaches.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve the user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.

Map Data & Local Storage

The information you enter into most of our life maps (Portfolio, Life Resume, Goal Grid, etc.) is stored only in your browser's local storage. It does not leave your device and is not transmitted to our servers. This means your data stays private and is deleted if you clear your browser storage.

The exception is the Mirror Map, which stores your skill names and ratings on our servers solely to enable the sharing and comparison feature. This data is associated with an anonymous session ID, not your identity.

Third-Party Services

  • Vercel: Our hosting provider. Processes request data to serve the site. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Anthropic (Claude API): Used for AI features (Life Resume insights, certificate reading). Text you submit to these features is processed by Anthropic. See anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Supabase / PostgreSQL: Used to store Mirror Map data. Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Mirror Map data is retained for 90 days after creation, then automatically deleted. Browser-stored map data is retained only on your device and within your control.

Children's Privacy

Known Success is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
